About me

Hi! My name is Joanna Kubica. I’m a medical doctor, a dancer and flexibility coach, with movement as a constant part of my life.
Alongside dance, I spent seven years training aerial disciplines and it was there that one thing became very clear to me very quickly: Large ranges of motion without strength and control are unsafe. In the air, there’s no room for shortcuts. The body either knows how to support a position or it doesn’t.

As a child and teenager, I was naturally very flexible. For years, my stretching relied mostly on passive methods: long holds, pushing deeper, forcing range. Eventually, injuries appeared. I had the range, but not the control to use it safely.

That was the turning point. I realised that stretching on its own simply isn’t enough.

During medical school, I began to look at movement from a different perspective. I dove deeper into anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, tissue adaptation, and the role of the nervous system in learning and allowing range of motion. Along the way, I completed a flexibility instructor certification, attended numerous courses and conferences, and started consciously integrating medical knowledge with real training-room experience.

Today, I teach stretching that is effective, enjoyable, and pain-free. My approach combines flexibility with strength and movement control. I focus not only on the final position, but also on how you move into it, and whether your body can actually maintain the range you build. Rather than following one universal method, I adapt the tools to what the body needs at a given moment.

I created this approach especially for adults who want to build flexibility in a way that feels safe, intelligent, and sustainable – not something that disappears after a couple of days, but progress their body can truly keep.
